Cadillac’s new concept, the VSR Hot Rod, reminds us of the old Chrysler-Plymouth Prowler from the 1990’s – not sure of that is a good thing. The VCR VSR is hopping from one auto show to the next, impressing those who still think a topless car that can reach 150 MPH in under 10 seconds and lacking most safety features is a good idea.

Powered by a 6.0 liter V8 engine, that can produce 400 horse power, this GM certified street racer is a gorgeous concept but seems to lack the raw power that other Caddy’s (ie: CTS) have on the market today. In another time, when gas prices were still hovering near $1, and American auto companies were flourishing with profit and joy, we may have seen an actual production model VSR Hot Rod Concept. But for now you will have to catch it at your local auto show…and dream.
