The Cadillac WTF?!

The Cadillac WTF?!

The general consensus around the webs is that this supposed Cadillac concept is not real, just sprung from the imagination of a designer with hopes of working for GM, and with a base knowledge of internet lingo. Cadillac’s World Thorium Fuel concept – aka Cadillac WTF – is a study in conceptual design that’s popped up online but not at this years Detroit Auto Show. This may be because it’s not an official Caddy product.

We’re pretty sure the name was created on purpose, unless it’s one of those marketing flubs, like the AYDS dietary supplement from the early 1980’s:

According to Auto Blog – “Created by Loren Kulesus, everything about the WTF has been created to last 100 years without maintenance. That’s the reason for the element number ninety, thorium: to act as a nuclear fuel powering batteries that would power the car.”

If you think changing one tire is annoying, this freak of automotive nature has 24 separate thin wheels-like devices, six on each corner. Of course you have a to do a lot of damage before having to replace a whole end. According to designer Kulesus, “The vehicle would require the tires to be adjusted every five years, but no material would need to be added or subtracted.” It’s an interesting idea, but has most car enthusiasts scratching their heads asking, “WTF?”
